During her time working for City & Guilds she was a Client Services Advisor who coordinated with colleges and universities, supporting clients who made registration, results and examination queries.

Originally from the UK, Jas graduated from De Montfort University in Marketing Management in 2009. After university, she was accepted into a three-month government-funded programme in Kenya, Platform 2, sponsored by British Red Cross and Bunac. During her stay in Kenya, she worked in rural primary schools and taught basic maths and English to a class of 30 children from the ages of 8-13 years. She also worked in an orphanage organizing fun activities with the children and volunteered to help a project focused on improving schools for children aged 10-13 years old and supporting families living in poverty.

In her spare time, Jas loves to cycle, enjoys attending concerts around London, reading a wide range of novels and spends as much time as she can with friends and family. Jas currently lives in Essex.

MOVE Guides Questionaire:

What is the most common challenge for expats?

“The little key details and administrative paper work that they don’t think about before coming to their new city. This could be as simple as hiring a car without any local credit history, not knowing how to open a bank account or which networks provide the best mobile phones.”

What makes MG different from any other company you have worked at?

“The team. I love that we all have the same vision and that we are all so passionate about what we do and in delivering the best quality service to our clients. Everyone has a voice and is a valued member of staff. I’ve worked at other startups and corporate environments, but by far, MOVE Guides is the best company I have worked for because of the incredible group of people. Also, being able to grow with a company and still maintain our identity and culture is rare but we manage to exceed that expectation every day.”

Favorite place to travel?

“I love travelling and learning about new cultures. I made a pact with my best friends to go on holiday each year to celebrate our birthdays, so far we’ve been to Budapest, Rome, Singapore, Malaysia, Canary Island, Netherlands and next on the list is Croatia!”

Why do you love working at MOVE Guides?

“I love the moments at MOVE Guides when a customer completes their move and you realize that you have made a difference in their life. That all of the hard work that you put in genuinely helps someone else. But not just that one individual, its also their families and loved ones who are also uprooting their lives. It is such an amazing feeling to get positive feedback because it means I’ve made a difference in someone life.”

Motto in life?

“Have fun, make the most out of an experience and learn as much as you can from everyone and everything!”
