At MOVE Guides, Kelvin Donald is the glue that keeps our innovative technology and world-class service together. Kelvin joined our London team in 2014 as the Director of Operations and his responsibilities include managing our vendor network, leading our MOVE Advocates team and overseeing seamless solutions delivery.
As the head of the MOVE Advocate team, or as we say at MOVE Guides, ‘the face of the business for our customers’, he is dedicated to delivering an excellent relocation experience for each employee and for maintaining our 99% employee satisfaction. Working with the solutions delivery team, he oversees the seamless transition from signed contract to technology implementation and easy customer authorization. He also manages and maintains our extensive suppliers network of over 100 vendors from around the world to ensure that our customers have everything they need to hit the ground running in their new city.
Before joining MOVE Guides, Kelvin worked at Oliver Wyman, a leading global management consulting firm, for eight years. He began his career at Oliver Wyman as a generalist and covered a wide spectrum of industries such as retail, utilities, pharmaceuticals and health care.
As his career progressed, he specialized in health care focusing on the efficiency, sustainability and cost effectiveness of the public sector and on building exciting new business opportunities and services to maintain a high quality of care in the private sector. During his time at Oliver Wyman, Kelvin had the opportunity to work abroad in Paris and Athens.
Kelvin graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Engineering and currently lives in south London with his wife. He is a self-proclaimed foodie, an avid jogger and has just found a new passion for DIY projects on his new home.

What do you love most about working at MOVE Guides?
"I love the pace of the business. Everything is rapidly growing—teams, clients, geography and vendors— and the pace is changing as well, especially as we continue to get better and better. As we grow, we are also automating our workflows and making our business a turn-key operation to ensure that everything we do has a positive impact on our clients."
What about your team are you most proud?
"I am most proud of the constant commitment that I see in our team to always go the extra mile and to full-heartedly care for our customers. For example, one of our MOVE Advocates is learning French on her own time to better service the customers that would prefer to speak in French and I am always impressed when MOVE Advocate stay in the office late on a Friday or work on weekends to make sure that our customers are well looked after."
What advice do you have for expats working abroad?
"Enjoy the city! When I was in Paris and Athens I tried to take advantage of all it had to offer besides just working all day and going back to my accommodations. Even when I went for jogs, it was incredible to soak in the city and see it in a different light. Also, to make the new city feel like home, go out and do normal day-to-day activities rather than staying in an expat bubble. This can be going out to get food from a market, having a local coffee shop or finding a jogging route around the city."
